Trinkets

Trinkets are items that can be equipped to get various bonus effects and buffs. You start with 4 trinket slots and 1 ability trinket slot. The maximum number of trinket slots as of version 0.23.1 is 7.

Defeating Void Wizard and using Empty Pendant increases your max trinkets to 5, then defeating Pirate Captain and using Pirate Sheath will increase it to 6, then lastly by defeating the Fallen Wizard and using Wizard Socket will increase max trinkets to 7.

If players use one of these max trinkets upgrades before using the one prior to it, the max trinket number will still increase to the respective max numbers and the ones prior to it will be unusable (such as using the Wizard Socket before the other two will increase max slots from 4 to 7 and the other two will be unusable).

Ability Trinkets

Ability trinkets are trinkets that can be equipped in the ability trinket slot. When equipped you can press the control (default SPACE) to use the ability.
