Amethyst is a crafting material used to make Crystal weapons, armor and ammo. It can be obtained from the big crystals in Desert Caves in Crystal biomes. Each big crystal drops several Amethysts when mined.
Amethyst can also sometimes be found during any Crystal Incursion.
