The Mysterious Portal is used to summon Evil's Protector, the first boss. It can only be used at night. It can be dropped by all monsters and chests in the Forest Caves, with a 1% chance. Before Evil's Protector is defeated, it can also sometimes be dropped by Zombies and Zombie Archers in Snow Caves.
