Pigs are the female counterpart to Boars. They can be domesticated and raised by players.
A Pig drops Raw Pork when killed.
Unlike other animals, Pigs are not in the wild, and can only be found and obtained when brought by Traveling Merchants visiting a player settlement. By using ropes, they can be led and fenced in to create a pen.
Tame Pigs can be bred when around Boars, as long as both are tame and ready to breed. To tame a Pig, it needs to be fed Wheat for a prolonged time by hand or using a nearby Feeding Trough.
Pigs sold by Traveling Merchants are already tame on purchase.
