Critters

The Critters are non-hostile animals that spawn spontaneously in all Biomes on surface and underground, unlike Animals which do not spawn spontaneously. Most critters have low hit points and are not blocked by gates or fences. They cannot be roped and do not drop loot with a few exceptions such as Rabbit and Snow Hare, which drop Rabbit Leg.

The Critters are mostly there to add a nature-based ambiance to biomes to make them seem more alive. They won't attack the player after inflicting damage upon them.
