The Apiary is a Crafting Station used to produce Honey.

Once placed, the Queen Bee is needed for the Apiary to begin producing Honey.

Alongside manually placing a Queen Bee into a Apiary, completely full Apiarys have a small chance when attempting to create a new worker, to instead spawn a Queen Bee "swarm." Swarms will take half of the population of the hive and move into a nearby empty Apiary, this can occur when the Apiary detects the empty Apiary in a 5-50 Tile radius.

The rate of honey production increases over time as more Honey Bees spawn at the Apiary.

The Player can manually place Honey Bees into the Apiary (up to 20 in total, including those already in the Apiary).

The production speed can also be increased by adding an Apiary Frame (up to 5). 1 Apiary Frame will be consumed for every 2 Honey produced and will need to be replaced.

Only the Animal Keeper with the ability of Animal Husbandry is able to collect Honey from Apiaries.
