Check out Phoenix Armor for the complete set. Phoenix Armor is an armor set for all classes, crafted at the Tungsten Anvil. The crafting materials can be obtained much earlier than they can be used.
The fire damage immunity prevents damage from the On fire debuff. That means it protects against the Phoenix's feathers (but not its ramming attack), so it may help to craft the boots before the other armor pieces. It also prevents damage from Lava and burning from Flame Traps, but not the initial trap damage.
